This is absolutely a sexy scent. Let's start with the packaging though. Packaging is super simple but elegant. The parfume bottle itself is also simple but has a very clean and sophisticated aesthetic. The glass bottle is thick and high quality and so is the cap. Some perfume bottles have a cap that isn't as durable and fits more loosely but the cap for Octavia Morgan fits snug and is clearly formed to the bottle for a secure fit. Little details like that matter. The scent I am absolutely obsessed with. It smells SO good. From the initial spray to the final layer as it dries down, you can definitely smell each layer and notes of the ingredients it claims and has. It's not just a rose scent, it truly is a sophisticated, multi-layered scent. It feels and smells luxurious and rich. I received this fragrance from Octavia Morgan called Dark Rose as a free gift. The scent begins very bold when it is first sprayed. It is a bright and warm scent that creates a statement. I applied it to my bare skin first because I wanted it to wear all day. It was surprisingly familiar as a scent, not like I used it before but it was very calming to my senses. I sprayed it on my clothes to add to the effect and it wasn't overpowering as I thought it might have been. I love the subtle vanilla notes that surround you with a warm hug. Dark Rose commands your attention for sure because it is very noticeable in the best way. I loved also how as the day wore on it didn't disappear but it remained. I still had Dark Rose staying with me for the duration which is amazing for a spray parfum.

Instead, it feels like a dark velvety petal; moody, rich, and a little mysterious. It's definitely a more sophisticated fragrance. It starts off bold, sometimes even a bit sharp depending on the day, but slowly mellows into something deep and dusky but not exactly musky or smoky. It toes the line between herbaceous, woody and rich vanilla. The dry down feels truly unisex which I really like. It manages to stay noticeable all day without being overwhelming. The staying power is strong and I can still smell it on my clothes by the end of the night. If you like florals with an edge or want something that doesn't smell like everything else, this is worth trying.
